MEDICINE

Respecting life, prioritising humanity.

Tzu Chi’s charity work is inspired by great love to provide material and spiritual relief to anyone in need, regardless of nationality, language and religion. In 1993, Tzu Chi volunteers raised funds to help cover medical costs of the needy at Pukekohe Hospital, which marked the beginning of the Charity Mission in New Zealand. Since then, Tzu Chi has provided financial and material aid, welfare organisation support and disaster relief.

Believing that “Disease is the root cause of suffering, the origin of poverty”, Tzu Chi establishes mission of Medicine, pledging its effort around the globe.
